The African Home Goods is a social enterprise whose mission is to support women artisans and their children affected by extreme poverty, diseases and, gender inequality. The African Home Goods was founded by Women to empower women, and build their self-esteem.
The women groups we work with are widows and there only job is to weave these beautiful baskets but with no market to sell them, hence no income to help their children (Orphans). Our mission is to build a sustainable partnerships with artisans from around the world, by connecting them with customers through an online marketplace. We seek to empower women artisans to rise above poverty, and support their families.
We acknowledge the interdependence of people around the world and our responsibility is to help others. Every purchase is to provide a market place for the artisans, hope, have a brighter future for the weavers, help kids to have an education, support their families, and their communities.
With the help of your purchase, we can all make a difference; one artisan, one family, and one village at a time. THANK YOU for supporting our mission and for sharing in our passion to help the women and children in disadvantaged communities of Africa.
