ANKOLE HORN VASES OR PLANTERS - DARK
COW024These Ankole horn tumblers were meticulously sanded, polished, and then sealed with a food-safe lacquer for a smooth and shiny finish.
In addition to their impressive size, Ankole horns are also known for their beautiful variation of colors—ranging from light to dark, with exotic stripes of ivory, black, and brown. Like a fingerprint, no two horns are exactly alike, making each of these tumblers unique and rare.
The Ankole horn used was sourced ethically as a food by-product. Made from start to finish by our team of in-house cow horn artisans at our design-and-craft studio in Kampala, Uganda.

Because these natural drinking vessels are made of pure horn, which is made up of keratin protein, there are special considerations for proper care. The tumblers should be cleaned after use using only lukewarm water. They should never be left soaking or placed in a dishwasher; they should be dried immediately using a soft cloth.
It is important to avoid leaving tumblers near heat sources or in direct sunlight, as warm temperatures can cause the horn to dry out or change shape, resulting in small cracks or leaks.
